I’m Claire, a Queenstown-based photographer specialising in relaxed, natural family and couples photography across Queenstown, Wanaka and Central Otago. My approach is simple: create a space where you can relax, be yourselves, and enjoy your photoshoot experience.
No pressure, no over-posing, just gentle helpful guidance when needed, and plenty of space for beautiful real moments to unfold!

Queenstown and Wanaka are two of the most beautiful places in New Zealand and perfect spots for a photoshoot! With a mix of dramatic mountain backdrops, soft lakeside light, and quieter hidden spots where we can lose the crowds, you're absolutely spoilt for choice with locations! Sessions can take place along the shores of Lake Wakatipu, in Arrowtown or over in beautiful Wanaka.
Whichever setting feels right for you, the focus is always the same, capturing natural connection, beautiful light and timeless beautiful memories.

Nervous in front of the camera? Don't be!
Most people I photograph tell me they feel a bit awkward in front of the camera, and that’s completely normal!
You don’t need to know what to do or how to pose. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but for the most part I’ll keep things simple and unobtrusive, letting you interact naturally while I capture what unfolds.
For couples, that might look like walking, laughing, and just being together.
For families, it’s letting kids be themselves, no pressure to sit still or perform.
The result is a gallery that feels easy, honest, and full of life.
What it’s like to work with me
From the moment you get in touch, everything is designed to feel relaxed and straightforward.
I’ll help you choose a location that suits the kind of scenery you’re drawn to, and guide you on timing so we make the most of that beautiful Queenstown or Wanaka light, especially around sunset, when everything feels a little softer and more magical.
During the session, there’s no rush and no rigid structure. It’s more like going for a walk together, with a bit of direction along the way, so you can stay present and enjoy it for what it is.
