It was perfect weather for our photoshoot!

On a gorgeous frosty morning, I met up with the wonderful Lily & Harry for their engagement photos, ahead of photographing their wedding next summer.

With both the early morning frost and still plenty of autumnal leaves around we lucked out with the best of both Autumn and Winter seasons!

Here's why you should consider an engagement or pre wedding photoshoot

An engagement shoot is the perfect opportunity to meet your photographer ahead of your wedding day. Your wedding photographer is going to be with you all day, during the most special day of your life, so it's great if you have already had a chance to meet each other and build a friendship beforehand.

Most of us aren't used to being in front of a camera and you might feel a little nervous about the idea of it. A pre wedding shoot is a great practice, it gives you both a taster of what it's like, a practice run so you know exactly what to expect on your wedding day.

It's also a great chance to get out and have some quality time just the two of you. Getting engaged and wedding planning is so exciting but it can also be busy and stressful, so your photos can be an opportunity to really take a moment to enjoy and celebrate this special chapter of your lives. You're in your engaged era!

You could also choose to have your photos at another location that's special to you, whether that's a favourite beach, where you first met or the spot where you got engaged. It's an opportunity to have photos with another backdrop from your wedding day.

You'll come away from the session with lots of gorgeous photos of the two of you! These not only make beautiful new profile photos! But they can be great to use for your invites, wedding website or wedding day newsletter if you're having one.

So to conclude, a pre wedding photoshoot is a great idea!
